When Revisions Are Frustrating Dave's Mind Wanders

My next book is going to be told entirely in flashback.

Except for the weighty foreshadowing in the prologue.

Will I still be able to fast forward through the boring bits and the commercials?

If there were boring bits, I mean.

If you don't know how to fast-forward through a book I have no more hope for you.

Please tell me you're writing a sequel to this. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057295/)

Clearly it would have to be a prequel.

(That movie looks awesome, though. Off to Netflix!)

So, you're saying you did have hope for me? Really? Even with my fondness for really astoundingly bad movies?

[identity profile] vee-ecks.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's one of those things I caught on TV one Saturday when I was a kid that stuck with me over the years where a thousand other movies similarly viewed didn't. Apparently, that's true for a lot of other genre movie geeks, too, thus continued interest and the subtitled DVD release.''

And it's all told in flashback.

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you honestly think that "really astoundingly bad" covers it?

[identity profile] tanaise.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
no, but I've forgotten how to spell appaling.

[identity profile] rnb.livejournal.com 2008-06-12 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. I had forgotten all about that movie. I'd seen it maybe five times when I was a kid--for some reason they showed it a lot on the local Chicago station (WGN?) whenever they had a schlocky movie afternoon.

I have book!

However I have to finish reading something else, first. But it's up next soon!

Will the entire thing be in italics?

Yay book! Treat it well :-)

Of course . . . except for the interior monologues, which will be in ALL BOLD CAPS.
