It transpires that my story from Paper Cities, "The Somnambulist," has been recc'd (not nominated, at least not yet) for a Nebula; if you're a SFWA member, the story is up at that organization's site for your consideration.
It's not a city wide party per-se, it's the 612 party, that some friends of mine throw every year. It is EPIC and very very drunken, and they are really good people and quite hilarious. They have MPLS themed drinks, and dress up as Twin Cities Themed things. They are also all nuts.
