Joseph and the Amazing Fruit-of-the-Loom Y-Front

I had that dream I used to have when I was a kid, where I'd get to school and then realize I wasn't wearing any pants. Except in this dream I was at a convention, possibly World Fantasy, because many of you were there. There were also people I haven't talked to since college, so it was not clearly one thing or another. Anyway, the punchline is that I hadn't just forgotten my pants, I was wearing NOTHING BUT TIGHTY-WHITIES (not my usual choice of undergarment, either). And while I had some mild anxiety about the situation--nothing like the paralyzing terror of those school-day nightmares--nobody else seemed to care.

I can't decide if this means that I feel very comfortable and accepted by all of you or that I think you're all a bunch of weirdos.

I think it means you want to wear tighty-whities.

I often dream I have showed up for things naked, and nobody ever cares.

It always means that I have kicked off the blankets and am cold. Ahh, the deep psychological symbolism.

Oh, like we've never seen someone wandering around World Fantasy in nothing but tighty-whities before.

Dude, it wasn't a dream. It actually happened.

I'm not sure why you think this is an either/or issue. It's clearly an and.

Either a need to display, or a feeling of acceptance. Probably both. Though if you're going to go nude or near nude quick showers and bidets are good ideas.
