That sounds just like the opposite of common sense for LJ. It seems that to make money off the free account, they'd use google ads since the users are basically getting to use lj content for free, therefore it allows to make at least *some* money off non-paying members.

It seems odd that they're subjected paid users to lj ads, when they're the ones bringing in all the income.
