I Hate You, Tree Pollen

I no longer have severe allergies, but every year around this time I get stealth allergies. I start having to blow my nose a little more often, I am a bit more tired, and I am a smidgen more prone to headaches. I'd almost rather have two days of hives and wheezing than two weeks of this.

It's not bad enough that I can justify buying meds for it, is the thing. Just bad enough to bother me.

My seasonal allergy has always been the same. Just enough to be a nuisance but not enough to medicate. However, I started using Zicam nasal swabs for colds over the winter and it helped me beat two colds in succession. I've used it the past couple days on runny noses that I assume are first spring hay fever occurrences, and it has helped so far. I know there's an allergy formula but I'm not sure how different it is. At any rate, the nasal swabs are very effective without the medicated feeling side effects of pills.

Apparently neti pots really work! Who knew?

(I don't really have allergies? But spring starts earlier here, and the pollen burst is accompanied by sudden drop to single-digit humidity. As a result, I've had a low-level, intermittent bloody nose for two months. I probably ought to try the damn neti pot.)

Can I whine with you? I had no allergies until I moved next to a tree that has obviously marked me for destruction.
