I agree with this post completely and whenever anyone implies that the midwest is all backwater hick towns, I love to point out that Columbus, Ohio, the city that fictional Tom's fictional parents are from, has the fifteenth highest population of any city in the country. That's more than Seattle, Boston, Las Vegas or Atlanta, which somehow are all deemed more cultural.
