Random Confessions, An Ongoing Series

I still like White Zombie.

I also love me some Zombie. However, I can't bear Rob's movies. I find them awful, even by their own rock-bottom standards.

Even so, I cannot help but boogie when faced with his music.

I haven't yet seen any of Rob's movies, I must admit. After that endorsement I will skip them.

I just checked to find that La Sexorcisto came out in 1992, which means that it's about fifteen years since I was moshing on the floor at the Rave in Milwaukee . . .

Yup. That's roughly when I was doing likewise at The Edge in Orlando.

:)

One of the only things I remember on guitar is the opening to Thunderkiss.

Yeah. Sadly, I don't care much for his solo stuff. But La Sexorcisto is a great album, and Astro Creep isn't too far behind.

I used to play bass; for me it was the opening lick to the "Barney Miller" theme :-)

I used to own AstroCreep, but not at present. Another for the wish list . . .

It has their (imo) least-known but best song: Blood, Milk and Sky.

Wait. Are we supposed to not like White Zombie?

Je refuse!

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2007-10-02 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno. It just felt like something worth admitting.

[identity profile] jlundberg.livejournal.com 2007-10-02 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Me too. And it still holds up better than his solo work.

Ah, but do you like White Zombie better than, say, Rob Zombie? I still remember the first time I saw White Zombie. It was on some crappy MTV variety show, where they would have random live performances. After they performed, they stood just off stage yelling "ZOMBIE!" for the rest of the show. The host was perturbed.

I should have read the comments before I commented. To stand out from the solo-hatin' mob, I will declare that Astrocreep is one of my top five albums. But I need Therapy? Specifically, Screamager.
