snurri | Today Is All About Me, Apparently

That's a gorgeous picture. I think it captures the Dave that a lot of us see, which is a tough trick for photographers--people usually look so different in pictures.

She took a ton of photos of him and in most of them really captured his personality. She is terrific!

Hey, it's a great picture! I was hoping for something more Truman Capote-ish, but this one is just as good.

I'm not so good with hats. I wish I could pull off hats, but I have an exceptionally large head.

That's a nice photo. I spend a lot of time thinking about what my bookjacket photo would be, much more than I spend thinking about, oh, writing a book.

Heh; well, you've got classes and work and stuff. Those proportions will correct themselves eventually.

Nice picture, but I don't think you look angry enough. You need a sneer, or a tattoo, or an AK-47.

Do you know the whole symmetry (or lack thereof) theory of why we look funny to ourselves in photos? Because faces aren't realy symmetrical and we're used to looking in the mirror, whereas photos capture that mirror image as flipped. I'm not explaining this well...

I think I get what you're saying, and it makes sense. I did spend a tiny bit of time wondering if I had a "best side," and I think this must be it.

Yeah, that is a nice one, both in itself and as an author photo -- I think it's something about the eyes (and the hands, watch included).

Of course, something a little more cape and tights might be more appropriate for the upcoming book... There's always Photoshop, I suppose ;)

Yeah, I like having the hands in there. Not sure why that makes a difference, but it does.

Nice photo! You have successfully avoided all of the author photo traps by neither frowning nor smiling. Way to go, Mona Lisa.
