Oversocialization Makes For a Dull Blog
WisCon: despite the illness which felled a wide swath of the convention, I had a good time. Much laughter and lots of hugs, and good chats with people I only knew from online. The launch party went well, I think, and the novella was well received. Good food, good beer, good Guest-of-Honor speeches and Tiptree presentation. I find, though, that I'm a little frustrated with the brevity of my interactions with nearly everyone at the con. I'm hoping I'll get a chance over the next year or so to actually travel to the places where some of these folks live, and spend some quieter time with them.
Friday afternoon a few of us sneaked away to see the "Indiana Jones" movie, which was kinda terrible. I may have more to say on that later, but I talked it to death over the weekend so maybe not.
Superpowers gets a mention at SciFi.com (Thanks to JJA!) and at novelist Debra Parmley's Make Believe Mondays blog.
Tomorrow I get to go to the MPR studios and record an interview for a BBC show. I find that I am more excited about seeing the inside of a public radio operation than anything else. This will come as a terrible shock to most of you, but I am kind of a geek.

Don't take this the wrong way, but MPR sounds like some cheap, knock-off version of NPR. Like, it's the off-brand brand. Today, on MPR. That American Life. Clunk and Clatter, the moped repair guys. And Mall Things Considered. Stay Tuned!

It's just the Minnesota affiliate of NPR. But you probably got that.

P.S. Any idea when the novella ships for those of us who weren't at Wiscon?
