I'm partial to the Dune cover myself, mostly because I've never actually managed to finish book 2 and now I have a good a reasonable an excuse to give up trying. :-)

Oh, hell yes. Don't bother. There's an exponential drop in quality with every book.

On that note, the defenses coming from some of MGK's commenters scare me.

Though not as much as the thought of what Kevin Anderson's Paul of Dune must be like as that exponential drop has carried on into the sequels and prequels and... what do you call this latest one, an inquel?

I have to confess that I still have lingering affection for some of those books. I think I will not tell you which ones.

RE: The Dune books, I want to know who's reading all these quels. Seriously.
