Best part? Because it's a commutation, not an outright pardon, Libby can still plead the Fifth to any questions anybody wants to ask him.

The upside of this is that it pretty much publicly confirms what we've known all along, that Libby was taking a fall for his bosses. Bush has admitted this by pardoning him, so he can please his shrinking base. It only adds to the sense of republican corruption and cronyism, and it'll hurt them in the long run.
