I Can't Be the Only One Who Does This

Every time I prepare rotini, I have to say it like a Jawa would.

You are not alone.

However, tonight I am singing lots of "Bork bork bork!"s because I am making Swedish meatballs. (Bork bork!)

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I know a Swedish dude who finds the Swedish Chef really annoying. Actually, I think he finds him bewildering, because "bork" is not a prominent sound in the Swedish language.

I wonder if somewhere there is a Jawa reading this entry, seething.

Indeed it is not. But the dictates of a Muppeted childhood are hard to ignore.

I never have -- but I think from now on, I will.

Another one infected!

[identity profile] infinitehotel.livejournal.com 2009-04-08 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, you're not. :)

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Everyone should do it. It's quite satisfying.

This is sufficient reason for you to have your own cooking show.

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree, but the Food Network people were all, "You only know how to make three things!"

Elitists.

[identity profile] jamiam.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you might have been. But now you have ruined rotini for the rest of my life.

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
But now you have ruined improved rotini for the rest of my life.

Fixed that for you.

Any chance (oh, please any chance at all??) you could post an audio clip of said Jawanese accent with regards to Rotini?

[identity profile] timakers.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm going to need some, ahem, material evidence to answer this question fully, Mr. Schwartz.

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be happy to demonstrate the next time we're in the same room. Which will be WHO KNOWS WHEN.

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:35 pm (UTC)(link)
What is this "record" you speak of?

[identity profile] ken-schneyer.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
This, by itself, is a reason to make rotini. *nods*

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It truly is a superior pasta. For, um, other reasons too . . .

[identity profile] jennreese.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
But does the rotini speak Bocce?

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
You mean the language of small wooden balls hitting each other? Sure, why not?

[identity profile] jonhansen.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:44 pm (UTC)(link)
No, that's just you. But for a small financial incentive, I could check again.

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2009-04-09 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Financial incentive? For that droid? He's got a bad motivator!
