Gonna Buy a Camel

Am in LAX. Have been in LAX for 15 hours. So far.

Stop. Me. Before. I. Kill.

Don't you have twenty-four books? If not, buy a trashy one, and then some overpriced food. That's what indefinite delays are for.

I have lots of books, but I have not slept and cannot concentrate on them. We are all very sad about this.

Have found connection out of San Francisco. Have never been so happy about changing planes in my life.

I can't wait for the amended post:

Stop. Me. Before. I. Kill. Again!

I'll wave at you as you go over.

Kill the guy that keeps picking his teeth first. Then the mother that can't control her screaming children.

[identity profile] readingthedark.livejournal.com 2007-03-25 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, kill the mom. I've tried killing the children but then the mom starts screaming. Oddly, killing the mom can sometimes stun the children straight into a refreshing state of silence.

Wait. I'm just being goofy.

I believe in peace and using duct-tape sparingly.

Your post is both disturbing and hysterical.

Story of my life.

[identity profile] haddayr.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
No one can control screaming children. Least of all their parents.

[identity profile] ajjones.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
You're right. Kill the kids instead.

[identity profile] haddayr.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
NOW we're on the same page.

Ugh. There must be worse airports in North America to get stuck in than LAX, but I haven't done time in them. Hope you're home by the time you read this.

[identity profile] rajankhanna.livejournal.com 2007-03-25 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, that sucks. LAX sucks. I can completely sympathize. Here's hoping your escape route works (worked).

[identity profile] haddayr.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Hope you're home right now, sleeping blissfully.

[identity profile] megmccarron.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
holy shit what HAPPENED?!

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 03:22 pm (UTC)(link)
First flight canceled, on standby for two more (delayed) flights (Karen got on one of them), kicked out of terminal for the night, tried to sleep in baggage claim and check-in areas with no success, got screwed out of two more flights in the morning, finally found someone with a brain who put me on a flight to San Fran and a connection over to Chicago. Got home about 6:30 last night and have been sleeping ever since.

How was your trip? :-P

[identity profile] megmccarron.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
mine was fine! looong but not that long. it took me two hours to get to liz's from JFK, but that was the worst of it. Poor Dave!

[identity profile] snurri.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess it was my own fault for missing the flight on the way there, right? Bad plane-ma or something?

[identity profile] tacithydra.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yay, LAX! My home airport, if you pretend that John Wayne doesn't exist!

Best. Evil. Airport. Evar.

One day it will suck all of Southern California, the goodness in the world, and the pope into a ravening vortex of time lag!
