Superlectroscope!
Jun. 5th, 2008 07:32 amYou've probably heard of the Telectroscope, which allows viewers to see between New York and London. What you may not know is that Vintage UK has adapted this technology for the release of Superpowers, which comes out TODAY, June 5, in the UK.
Through the magic of technology, the horror of refraction, and the romance of privacy violation, this (or something very similar) is what you'll see when you open your very own copy of Superpowers.
Please do not be alarmed. Simply read as normal. Perhaps, after reading a particularly clever or poignant passage, you may wish to briefly make eye contact with the author, as if to say, "Very amusing," or "You have moved me, Sir." If you wish to express displeasure, a simple frown or unhappy shake of the head will suffice. Please do not hurl the book in disgust as this may cause the author to become nauseated.
Note that the author's face may only be visible from certain angles; for best results you may need to tilt your copy of Superpowers until the author's face comes into view. Please be considerate of the time difference; if the author appears to be sleeping please do not tap on the lens, as he needs his rest. Also, please do not attempt to feed the author, as this may smudge the lens and they are expensive to replace. ENJOY THE BOOK!
