Books 41-50.
51. Devil In a Blue Dress by Walter Mosley.
52. A Red Death by Walter Mosley.
53. White Butterfly by Walter Mosley.
54. Flora's Dare: How a Girl of Spirit Gambles All to Expand Her Vocabulary, Confront a Bouncing Boy Terror, and Try to Save Califa From a Shaky Doom by Ysabeau Wilce.
55. The Riddle-Master of Hed by Patricia McKillip. No one told me this was part of a trilogy! Given that, it's perhaps forgivable that it doesn't really have an ending, exactly. Very charming and engagingly written, though the protestations of the protagonist regarding his destiny did get a bit tiresome after a while. I'm not sure I can speak about this intelligently until I get hold of the other two books (on request from the library) and can talk about the whole.

Date: 2009-07-20 05:25 pm (UTC)When it was published people treated it as a kind of companion volume to The Last Unicorn. Nowadays it's harder to see the connection, but there was a lot less original fantasy being published in the seventies.
