'Cause I end up wandering around IMDb and find out they're doing a remake of The Taking of Pelham 123.

Just, no.

In protest I plan to buy the original and force you all to watch it when you visit me in the asylum.

Yeah, there should be a special hell for movie idiots who remake REALLY GOOD movies.

Nothing wrong with remaking crappy ones, but sheesh.

I mean, I understand that Hollywood has always cannibalized itself, but cripes. I thought it was bad when they redid Assault on Precinct 13.

Uh, it already got a remake like ten years ago, and this did not cause the original to whither and blow away like one of the podded people in the first version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Or was that the second? Or the third? I dunno, they're all pretty good, but remakes are still evil, I guess.

Hey, if I don't obsess about the plunder of '70s cinema I'll have to focus on things like the collapse of the economy or the impending end of the world.
