I am, as it turns out, going to Austin. Who's going to be there?

Cool! I'll be sure to say Howdy. (As we'll be in Texas.)

Me too. Need to start to researching the best venue for barbeque...

What species of barbeque is the Austin barbeque? 'Cause I have an aversion to the messy.

Cool that you're going to be there, though! Look forward to chatting.

I've never had it myself which is one of the reasons I'm excited about the trip. From what I'm reading though, it's less messy than some other styles, based more on the dry-rub and the smoking than on the sauce, which is usually served on the side. Brisket and shoulder are traditional as well as ribs, so most places should have something you can eat without destroying your shirt. :)

Aversion...to messy...barbecue?

I understand the words, but the sentence makes no sense.

I don't like messy ANYTHING, especially when it comes to food. It's a big part of my hate-on for lobster.

Ahhh. I don't like lobster, either, but that's because it doesn't taste good.

But--ribs!

Nuh-uh. If I need more than one napkin to eat it, I'm going for something else.

I plan on being there for the first three days. (Sunday is Race for the Cure day, and I will be helping my wife with it.)

I'm sure I'll see you, then. (And that's a very worthy thing to be helping with!)
