I'd forgotten about Dark City.

Even though I've only seen it in pieces out of sequence on TV, 5th Element really is a lot of fun. (And I think you're probably more likely to enjoy it if you're looking for "fun" rather than anything particularly substantial.)

I rather liked "Dark City," but it falls a bit short of Classic status IMO.

I have seen bits of "The Fifth Element" on TBS and such. Just never the entire thing.

I've rented Donnie Darko twice, but circumstances keep conspiring against it actually getting into the DVD player. (Which is a shame, since it seems like the kind of thing I'd like.)
