Taking a break from my break to say I am indeed OK and was not involved in the bridge collapse. Everyone in my immediate family, at least, is safe; I've got a lot of relatives in the area and it may take a while to be sure whether or not everyone is OK. I hope you and yours are safe as well.

Total blitz. I was freakin out for a bit. I thought there'd be like three or four posts Matt was linking to online, like the silly interview with him and the more serious one with the Swivet and my essay at Gwenda's. Then all of a sudden there was a gazillion posts and cameo appearances. It was like the most awesome birthday I've ever had, even though it wasn't a birthday, unless you want to look at it metaphorically, of course. ;-)
